Posted in Uncategorized on July 10, 2011 by liquidcrystalbeefGuys,
Hey, I need an answer here. I’ve been trying to reach you for weeks now.
My family and I are moving, and one of the larger things I need to remove from the back yard is the Beefmobile.
First of all, are you ever going to use it again? If not, I need to tow it to the junkyard. After Gordo blew the motor at the Band Van Grand Prix, it doesn’t move under its own power. I’m afraid to look in the back after the three months that Stye was living in there. The mice won’t even go in there.
If I take it for salvage, I’m taking the ice cream freezer from the back as back rent. That and that damn tinkly “Come Kiddies and Buy Some $2 Popcycles” music. I want to put that under the hood of my pickup so I can play it and confuse the little brats in my neighborhood.
If I don’t hear anything from you guys soon, I’m towing it. I’m tired of my neighbor razzing me about it, especially the “rok in role” that Stye spraypainted on the back.
Personally, I think it’s time for you guys to move on. Get yourself a good used Volvo station wagon, something reliable. And you guys all have driver’s licenses now, so you ought not need my services any more.
Good luck with the Band,
Terd
Mars Hollow
Posted in New Blood on May 12, 2011 by liquidcrystalbeefThese guys sure look innocent, don’t they. Well, THEY’RE NOT. They will make your ear drums bleed with the progressive fierceness. Or something to that effect.

Kudos to Mars Hollow for generating one of the best albums I’ve heard in quite some time. Catchy tunes, great prog. Anticipating their new album soon!

Hard working bassist of Spock’s Beard. In that band, you’ve got to have an aggressive sound or you get trampled! Dave has no problem being heard! He has obviously listened to and heard every growl played by Squire and Entwistle; he keeps that spirit alive- the spirit of the bass player who is HEARD. For those of us who listened to Yes from our cradles, THIS is exactly the way we crave to hear the bass in a group like The Beard.
Dave normally plays a bass he calls his “Fendenbacker”, a Ric 4001 body he had fitted with Jazz pickups and the usual Ric pickups.
Go Dave!

Also included is the band’s encore from the final night of their tour, a headlining spot at the UK’s High Voltage Festival. For the last song at UK’s High Voltage Festival, they performed the Genesis classic, “Return of the Giant Hogweed,” joined onstage by original Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett.
